There you board shuttle busses that take you to the various lookouts. We were on a VIP bus tour, which is available to everyone for an additional price, and visits different lookouts than the basic tours. My impression is that the basic lookouts are much larger and more crowded. You would obviously see slightly different views from each tour, but I can’t speak to which has the “best” views, as I only did the VIP version.<\/p>\n
In the large, wide photo above you can see what I believe is one of the basic tour’s viewing platforms on the right. All those tiny people give you some sense of the scale of this place. I doubt there is a better or worse view from either tour, but if time were no issue it would be great to do both the basic and VIP tours just to feel like you’d seen everything.<\/p>\n
From one of the VIP stops, there was a stair leading up to a higher platform (previous). No one seemed to be taking advantage of this so I — perhaps foolishly — decided to check it out. Definitely yes. But be careful about what images you look at online before visiting. I’m sure that if you believe some of the outrageously rainbow-colored confections you’ll find on the internet to be true, then you could be disappointed by reality.
