One year ago today, I was in Spain. I had just finished visiting the Saffron Festival and windmills in Consuegra, had toured the cathedral and other wonders of Toledo, and was part way through my exploration of the cliff-hanging city of Cuenca. Oh, how the world has changed in the year since. While many of us still may not be able to visit Spain at the moment due to various restrictions surrounding the coronavirus, I can at least relive that 2019 trip through my new book, Spain 8: Eleven Days Exploring the Region of La Mancha. I invite you all to do so as well.
This is the latest in my series of travel photography journals. Like the others, this La Mancha book is photo-heavy with some captions to help explain what I was seeing and doing as I was experiencing the Saffron Festival (learning how saffron is grown and harvested) and exploring the surrounding countryside.
