Four Seasons Hotel Madrid

By September 19, 2023No Comments

Following my tour of Basque Country, I was treated to a night in the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid. Perfectly located and in a beautifully restored grand old building, this was a true experience. There was a quick lunch in the lobby — after which we were shown some new cakes made in collaboration with Jimmy Choo — then I was off to grab some photos before the light was lost. The rooftop restaurant and deck offered some especially nice photographic opportunities.

I love the elephant brackets holding up the balconies.
I’m not going to lie — this one one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in Spain, or anywhere.
Just a couple of the Jimmy Choo promotional cakes.

Out to photograph the hotel’s exterior after lunch, I was not only racing the sun, but also the holiday decorations that were being put up and quickly covering the facade.

This really is one of my favorite corners in Madrid. Impressive architecture in every direction, many buildings topped with giant sculptures. The view is even better from the Four Seasons’ rooftop lounge.

From a photographer’s perspective — I love a hotel with a good view, and even more so a good view from an elevated floor. This hotel’s rooftop restaurant and lounge was a highlight. Dramatic views from an elevated level where you could really appreciate the details that adorn Madrid’s historic buildings. If you ever want to find a more interesting view of a place, seek higher ground. High balconies and rooftop decks always pay off when it comes to photography and changing up your point of view.

These last two shots are from the Four Seasons’ rooftop just before sunset. What a stunning place to spend an evening. It was a great experience at the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid. I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the location is pretty much perfect for a stay in central Madrid. I can only hope to be back soon.
