PARADOR E-BOOK

Longtime readers of my blog and followers of my social media will know that I am somewhat smitten with Spanish Paradores — a State-run chain of hotels that often occupy historic properties. Many have asked me for recommendations for which Paradores to visit on their own travels. Enough so that I decided to put together an e-book that details each of the (now 33) Paradores that I have visited with photos and my thoughts on each.

EXTREMADURA, SPAIN

EXTREMADURA, SPAIN

My “visual guide” to this often-overlooked region of western Spain. Extremadura was the first region of Spain I ever visited and it remains one of my favorites. I’ve been back a few times and have always thought I’d eventually compile my experiences and photographs into a book, to act as a visual guide in helping others discover Extremadura. I always said I would do it “after this next trip” but, when a 2020 trip was canceled due to the pandemic and it appeared uncertain when I’d be able to get back to Spain, I decided to go ahead with this first edition. One that will hopefully be updated soon, once I am able to get back to visit more of Extremadura’s treasures.

JOURNALS OF A TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHER BOOK SERIES

The books in the Journals of a Travel Photographer series are like little time capsules for individual photo-gathering trips I’ve taken. They are not at all in-depth studies of a place, but rather a record of what I saw — and the images I found — during each specific trip.
